ON BACKORDER ALPHARMA (Roxarsone) A soluble powder used for the increased rate of weight gain, improved feed efficiency, and improved pigmentation for growing chickens and growing turkeys; as an aid in the treatment of swine dysentery (hemorrhagic enteritis or bloody scours). Active drug ingredient is monosodium 3-nitro-4-hydroxyphenlyarsonate (21.7 grams). DOSAGE/ADMINISTRATION: Swine - Mix contents of pouch (1 oz.) in 50 gallons of drinking water. Give for no more than 6 successive days. Treatment may be repeated after 5 days off medication. Turkeys and Chickens - Mix contents of pouch (1 oz.) in 250 gallons of drinking water.
